I=Improving (Increasing)-- is for those species known to be increasing in numbers and/or whose threats to their continued existence are lessening.
S=Stable--is for those species known to have stable numbers over the recent past and whose threats have remained relatively constant or diminished in the wild.
D=Declining--is for those species known to be decreasing in numbers and or whose threats to their continued existence are increasing in the wild.
U=Unknown--is for those species where additional survey work is required to determine their current status
E=Extinct--is for those species that are believed to be extinct in the wild.
