The Rare Ones

The endangered species list presented here is the one accepted by the North Dakota Chapter of The Wildlife Society as of February 1986. The list is reviewed and updated, as necessary, at least once a year by the Endangered Species Committee. The most up-to-date list can be acquired from the North Dakota Chapter of the Wildlife Society, P.O. Box 1442, Bismarck, ND 58502. Anyone having suggested changes to the list can make recommendations to the Wildlife Society. These recommendations will be considered by the Endangered Species Committee and presented to the entire membership of the North Dakota Chapter of the Wildlife Society. A six month review process will ensue, allowing an opportunity to make comments on the proposed change. The Endangered Species Committee will make a decision based on comments solicited and the most up-to-date information available. Also, any suspected sightings of the species listed in this publication can be directed to the Game and Fish Department.
