Wild blue flax
Linum lewisii
This plant is named for the American explorer, Capt. Meriwether Lewis of the famed Lewis and Clark expedition. Its flowers are pale blue and its leaves are long and gray-green. It prefers dry open places, roadsides and railway grades throughout the south and central part of the province.
