The silverberry, often referred to as "wolf willows", is a shrub growing from 1-3 m with grayish twigs. It is found where soils are light and moisture plentiful. Its leaves are silvery yellow with a shiny appearance on the underside. The silverberry offers good cover for many upland birds.
