Golden bean

Thermopsis rhombifolia

This plant is an erect, branched forte, usually growing in large patches. Flowers which are bright golden yellow, bloom in early spring. The plant's bean pod-like fruit may cause severe sickness in children. Golden bean prefers moist areas in the southern part of Saskatchewan.
