Sphaeromeria simplex

- Similar Species: S. capitata has a single, large, head-like inflorescence composed of 2 or more separate, sessile flower heads. Herbaceous spp. of Artemisia have numerous flower heads arranged in spikes, racemes, or panicles.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: May-August.
- Distribution: Endemic to SE Wyoming (Albany and Carbon Cos., but also reported for Converse and Natrona Cos.).
- Habitat: Cushion plant communities on rocky limestone ridges and gentle slopes. Elev. 7500-8600 ft.
