Phlox opalensis

- Similar Species: P. muscoides [syn. P. bryoides] is densely matted, has smaller flowers (less than 10 mm wide) and grows on calcareous substrates. P. andicola has longer leaves and calyx lobes equal or longer than fused tube.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: May-June.
- Distribution: Endemic to SW Wyoming (Lincoln, Sweetwater, and Uinta Cos.).
- Habitat: Clay slopes and ridges. Elev. 6700-6900 ft.
