Epipactis gigantea

- Similar Species: Cypripedium fasciculatum has purplish-brown sepals, an inflated pouch-like lip, and a single pair of opposite leaves.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: June-August.
- Distribution: Primarily west of the Continental Divide from S British Columbia and W Montana to Mexico.
- Habitat: Wet meadows, seepage areas, and bases of cliffs along streams, often associated with thermal areas. Elev. 5000-7400 ft.
