Cypripedium montanum

- Similar Species: C. calceolus var. pubescens has yellow lip petals. C. fasciculatum has a small, brownish lip and single pair of opposite leaves.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: May-July.
- Distribution: Alaska to C California, east to Alberta and the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming (Johnson and Sheridan Cos.).
- Habitat: Shady moist forests and riparian shrublands. Elev. 5400-5500 ft.
