- Similar Species: C. eatonii has densely cobwebby-pubescent involucre bracts.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: June-July.
- Distribution: Endemic to NE Utah, NW Colorado, and SE Wyoming (Sweetwater Co.).
- Habitat: Sparsely vegetated shaley slopes in juniper, sagebrush and riparian communities.
