Astragalus paysonii

- Similar Species: A. alpinus has black-haired fruit and fused stipules. A. canadensis has cream or pale yellow flowers, a congested inflorescence, and erect fruit. Hedysarum spp. have united stipules, veiny leaflets and purple flowers.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: June-August/July-October.
- Distribution: NC Idaho and the Wyoming/Salt River ranges of western Wyoming (Lincoln and Sublette Cos.).
- Habitat: Disturbed areas and recovering burns, clear cuts, and road cuts on sandy soils with low cover of herbs and grasses. Elev. 6700-9600 ft.
