Artemisia porteri

- Similar Species: A. pedatifida has shorter (6-20 mm long), mostly three-parted leaves and shorter involucres. A. longifolia usually has longer leaves (often over 6 cm) and a more elongate inflorescence.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: June-July/August.
- Distribution: Endemic to the Wind River Basin, Wyoming (Fremont Co.).
- Habitat: Sparsely vegetated badlands of ashy or tufaceous mudstones and clay slopes. Elev. 5300-6500 ft.
