Amerorchis rotundifolia

- Synonym: Orchis rotundifolia
- Similar Species: Platanthera [Habenaria] obtusata has 2-3 basal leaves that are distinctly petioled and flowers lacking purple spots. Some Corallorhiza spp. have purple-spotted flowers but lack green leaves.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: June-July/July-August.
- Distribution: Newfoundland to W Alaska, south to New York, Michigan, Montana, and Wyoming (Park Co.).
- Habitat: Mossy, moist seepage areas in conifer forests, often associated with white spruce. Elev. 6600-6800 ft.
