Agrostis rossiae

- Similar Species: A. scabra has loosely spreading inflorescence branches at maturity, and although typically a perennial, it can be an annual in the geyser basins. A. variabilis is a perennial with panicle branches bearing spikelets nearly to the base.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: April-June.
- Distribution: Endemic to the Firehole River valley in Yellowstone NP.
- Habitat: Warm ground around hot springs and geysers. Elev. 7250-7400 ft.
