Abronia ammophila

- Similar Species: A. mellifera has upward-curving, glabrous to sparsely glandular stems, shorter petioles, and more coarsely pubescent fruits.
- Flowering/Fruiting Period: July-August.
- Distribution: Endemic to Yellowstone NP, Wyoming. Specimens reported from Sublette Co. are now believed to be A. mellifera.
- Habitat: Sandy lakeshores. Elev. 7700 ft.
