A Checklist of Manitoba Spiders (Araneae)

with notes on geographic relationships

Many workers have contributed to this study. We particularly thank the curators of the various collections, who kindly allowed us to examine specimen under their ownership or care. Jim Redner generously contributed his taxonomic expertise to the problems of synonymy. Dr Yuri Marusik, Magadan, U.S.S.R., brought to our attention a number of North American (and Manitoban) species that he has discovered in Siberia or the Soviet Far East in recent years. Lastly, we thank Drs W. O. Pruitt, Jr., R. E. Roughley, R. Wrigley, S. Koponen, and J. R. Duncan for their constructive comments on the manuscript.
