Thallophaga taylorata [Geometridae]


One of very few species found on sword fern. This caterpillar is easily identified by its orange, brown, and tan body with faint white subdorsal longitudinal lines; midabdominal intersegmental areas orange brown. It is common only on sword fern during May and June.
