Caterpillars of Pacific Northwest

Cercyonis pegala [Satyridae]

Head and body light velvety green and densely covered with short hairs; longitudinal subspiracular yellow lines; faint subdorsal longitudinal yellow lines; light orange spiracles. This caterpillar is common on grasses in June and July.
