Acmon Blue (Icaricia acmon)

  • BND: Acmon Blue; Icaricia acmon (Westwood, [1851])
  • BNA: Lupine Blue; Plebejus lupini
  • Habitat: Exposed flats along upper slopes in badlands, where it patrols and takes nectar at its larval host, Eriogonum flavum
  • Larval food: Eriogonum spp., also reportedly Astragalus, Lupinus
  • Adult flight: Two broods, June and August, the second being synchronous and sympatric with flight of Apodemia mormo
