Habitat: Exposed flats along upper slopes in badlands, where it patrols and takes nectar at its larval host, Eriogonum flavum
Larval food: Eriogonum spp., also reportedly Astragalus, Lupinus
Adult flight: Two broods, June and August, the second being synchronous and sympatric with flight of Apodemia mormo
