  • Habitat: Prairie hilltops; very fond of Liatris blooms
  • Larval food: Native grasses and sedges
  • Adult flight: One brood, early August onward
  • References: Royer 32, Layberry et al. 52-54, Ferris & Brown 125, Scott 436
  • Note: Many authors treat this as a distinct species. It is considered here as a subspecies.
