Woodland Skipper (Ochlodes sylvanoides)

  • BND: Woodland Skipper; Ochlodes sylvanoides (Boisduval, 1852)
  • BNA: Woodland Skipper; Ochlodes sylvanoides
  • Habitat: Shady, moist woodlands and chaparral; in mountains to 8,500 feet. An avid flower visitor, especially at late summer asters. Known only from North Unit of Roosevelt NP and vicinity.
  • Larval food: Unknown grasses
  • Adult flight: One brood, mid-July through August
