- Habitat: Mountain forests, especially near water; occurs in Riding Mountains, Manitoba, but all known ND records have been traced to misidentification of P. progne from Billings, Slope, and Bowman Counties. ND occurrence is therfore subject to question pending clear confirmation
- Larval food: Ribes spp. primarily; Ericaceae also in literature
- Adult flight: Univoltine, flying in July
