  • BND: Silvery Checkerspot; Charidryas nycteis (Doubleday, [1847])
  • BNA: Silvery Checkerspot; Chlosyne nycteis
  • Habitat: Humid wooded areas, woodland roadsides, riverbottom clearings, margins of woodland meadows; northern and eastern ND only
  • Larval food: Asteraceae, incl. Helianthus, Aster, Rudbeckia (larvae overwinter in the 3rd stage)
  • Adult flight: One brood, June into July
