  • BND: Atlantis Fritillary; Speyeria atlantis (W. H. Edwards, 1862)
  • BNA: Atlantis Fritillary; Speyeria atlantis
  • NDC: SPAT
  • Habitat: Woodland clearings, roadsides, railroad rights of way in woodlands, often near Monarda blooms
  • Larval food: Viola spp. (larva overwinters in 1st stage)
  • Adult flight: Mid-June throughout July
  • References: Royer 125, Layberry et al. 172, Opler & Krizek 135, Scott 330
  • Note: There is reason to question all ND records. No known specimens exist that are referable to this species.
