McKenzie, Donald, 1818-1821:

McKenzie was a Canadian working for the Hudson's Bay Company and was in charge of the Snake River brigade. He led several expeditions up the Snake River and, on at least one of these trips, he approached what is now Yellowstone Park. Alexander Ross was the historian for this expedition and gives the first written account of geysers in this area.
