1In addition to the above lands, Nebraska Public Power District purchased 2,650 acres of land (3- mile stretch of river and adjacent grasslands, forest, wet meadows, and cropland) in 1992 between Elm Creek and Overton bridges in anticipation of resolution of the re-licensing of NPPD's North Platte hydro station and associated facilities. A portion of another 387 acres of land at Elm Creek, Lexington, and Overton is managed for least tern and piping plover nesting.

2Land owned by the State of Wyoming and managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
