** Codes for adaptation are defined as follows: 1-Climatically adapted
with optimum level of performance; 3-Good adaptation within 250-300 miles
of origin; 5-Moderately adapted within 300-500 miles of origin; 7-Poorly
adapted. Southern sources that are moved north-northwest are subject to
severe winter injury during establishment, mature late, and will not make
seed within normal growing season. Northern sources that are moved
southeast mature early, have poor vegetation production, and are less
disease resistant; 9-Very poor; use is not recommended; and 0-Not adapted.
