12-15 mm. Head and pronotum dorsal coloration is brilliant metallic green to blue; dorsal elytral coloration reddish with green margins. Elytral maculations are incomplete and nearly absent. Most common habitats are on moist clay soil with sparse vegetation such as road cuts, eroded slopes, and clay banks. This is a spring/fall species with a 3-year lifecycle.
