Length ranges from 10-13 mm. Dorsal coloration is bronze-green to brown with iridescent green punctures. Maculations are complete and expanded. Habitat is most often very open saline areas far from vegetation. Salt flats, salt marshes, saline lakeshores, and coastal saline habitats are common habitats. This is a summer species with a 2 year lifecycle.
