No Common Name (Amblycheila picolominii [Reiche])

This species is a large (26 mm) flightless tiger beetle. The most common coloration is shiny dark brown, and no other colors or maculation are found on the body. Very little is known about the lifecycle and preferred habitat of this species. This species has only been reported in "dry, open, rocky country" in Arizona (Vaurie, 1955), as well as a few isolated localities in Texas and Colorado.
