Adult size ranges from 12-14 mm. Dorsal coloration most commonly metallic green, but can be brownish green in some color-morphs. Elytral maculations are incomplete, with 2 humeral and apical dots. Common habitat is dry, sandy soils within mixed pine forest, including abandoned roads, old sand pits, and eroded slopes. This is a spring/fall species with a 2-year life-cycle.
