This is a small species with body size between 8-11 mm. Dorsal coloration brown to brownish green, or metallic blue to metallic green. Elytral maculations are complete, and can be normal or reduced, a marginal band is sometimes present. This species occurs most commonly in wet soil, and is closely associated with saline habitats such as salt flats. This is a summer species.
