This beetle ranges between 10 and 14 mm. Dorsal coloration is either brilliant metallic green or metallic blue-green. Maculations are incomplete and reduced to six white spots (hence the name) on the elytra. Generally thought of as a woodland species, it can be found on the forest floor, paths, edges, clearings, and open areas next to a wooded area. Primarily a spring species, found throughout the spring and into early summer, but also occasionally found in the fall. This species has a 2 year lifecycle. |
