No Common Name (Tetracha virginica (L.))
This species is large (18-25 mm) and dark metallic green in coloration. Elytra are smooth and without maculations. It is a nocturnal species, remaining under cover during the day. Adults are typically found during late summer, although records indicate activity from April to October. Common habitats are open areas with bare spots. This insect is attracted to artificial lights. |
