Typical size for this species ranges from 14-16 mm. Coloration is reddish brown to dull bronze with complete elytral maculations. Typical habitat is primarily stream and river edges within 5 meters of the water. This is generally reported as a spring-fall species, however, Knisley and Schultz (1997) report that at some sites and during some years adult emergence may be low to none in the fall. Peak adult activity is generally in June. |
