This species typically has a medium to large body size (14-21 mm), with dorsal coloration that rages from yellow-red to dark red. The elytra are marked with distinct white maculations. Typical habitats include dry sandy upland areas such as blowouts, dunes, roads and clearings. This is a spring fall species.
