Mallards
Floating Structures


Floating structures are very acceptable to mallards. To encourage mallard use, the goose structure design can be modified by placing a grassed wire roof over the nest structure or by adding a cylinder nest structure to the platform. A partition similar to that designed for a culvert structure (see "Mallards - Culverts") can also be used to encourage mallard use. For floating platform details, see "Canada Geese - Floating Structures", and Figure 5.
