Mallards
Round Hay Bales


The slumps, holes and ledges found on round hay bales provide the lateral and overhead cover that nesting mallards prefer. Bales should be installed as described in the section "Canada Geese - Round Hay Bales" except that those placed further than 50 feet from shore will be less likely to be visited by predators
