least used.
p - Pine forest and woodland
d - Deciduous woodlands and thickets
g - Grasslands, savannahs, and edges
r - River and river banks
c - Cliffs, rocks, and bare slopes
a - Aerial: flying over all habitats
Abundance and Status
Abundance values are given for each species in each of the four seasons. A
species common in one season may be rare or absent in another. Also, a species
may occur within a season only at the very end or beginning of that season.
c - Common. High frequency of occurrence throughout suitable habitats. Excellent
chance of observing this species.
f - Fairly common. Regularly found in suitable habitats. Good chance of observing
this species.
u - Uncommon. Sarsely distributed through some or all of the monument. Fair
chance of observing this species in suitable habitat.
o - Occasional. Bird seen only a few times a season and not every year. Fair
to poor chance of observing this species.
r - Rare. Very few records exist for this species in this season. Of rare
or irregular occurrence. Poor chance of observing bird.
I - Introduced. A species not native to the area.
* - Breeding. Secies breeds in the monument or within the immediate vicinity.
