c - common: strong likelihood of seeing the species during the season
u - uncommon: good possibility of seeing the species during the season, but
numbers are low due to habitat limitations
o - occasional: usually one or two present during the season; or absent one
year during the season and fairly easy to find another year
r - rare: difficult to find; unlikely to be found regularly
