The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest encompasses a diverse range of habitats and provides opportunities to observe over 190 species of birds within the forest boundaries. We encourage you to report bird sightings to the closest ranger station. Species that have a special status (noted in the ST column) or that are rare or not on the list are of interest. Please make note of the species, location and date.

ST - Status NT Neotropical Migrant - breeds in North America but winters in Central and/or South America. C Species of Concern - as defined by U.S. Forest Service. S Sensitive Species - as defined by Region 6 U.S. Forest Service. C2 Candidate for listing under the Endangered Species Act. T Threatened Species - listed under the Endangered Species Act. E Endangered Species - listed under the Endangered Species Act.
