Breeding Range. Hypothetical. The possibility of breeding status is suggested by records of males during the breeding season. These records are listed as follows:

July 27, 1954--One recorded along Maple River in Cass County about 4 miles south of Chaffee (C. Knedel).
June 30, 1964--A singing male recorded at Washburn in McLean County (RES).
June 27, 1966--An adult male recorded in a shelterbelt in Stutsman County about 4 miles east of Jamestown (RES).
July 28, 1966--An adult male observed along Little Beaver Creek in northwestern Bowman County (R. L. Kroodsma).
June 23, 1967--An adult male recorded in Emmons County about 16 miles west-southwest of Strasburg (RES).
