Breeding Birds of North Dakota

Cerulean warbler (Dendroica cerulea (Wilson))

Breeding Range. Hypothetical. The possibility of breeding status is suggested by the following record: on two successive days (June 1-2, 1967), a singing male, apparently on territory, was recorded in the rich bottomland forest along the Sheyenne River in northwestern Richland County (R. L. Kroodsma). A singing male also was recorded along the James River at Jamestown on May 28, 1931 (Gillis 1932).
