Breeding Range. Hypothetical. Records of adult singing males during the breeding season suggest the possibility of breeding status. These records are listed as follows:

July 13, 1949--One in a farm grove near Argusville in Cass County (G. W. Monson).
July 17, 1968--One near Adams in Walsh County (P. F. Springer).
July 11, 1969--One in McHenry County about five miles north of Towner (RES).
July 11, 1969--Two (one singing male) at Walhalla in Pembina County (P. F. Springer).
Late June-July, 1969--Singing males were recorded in four townships within the Turtle Mountains of Bottineau County (C. Cink).
July 12-15, 1972--Singing male at Fargo; also recorded singing at about same time and at same location in 1968, 1969, and 1970 (E. G. Anderson).
