Breeding Range. Hypothetical. A few records of adults during the breeding season suggest the possibility of breeding status in western North Dakota. The records are listed as follows:

June 16, 1913--One near Medora in Billings County (Gabrielson and Jewett 1924).
June 12-14, 1959--Two in coulee of Des Lacs National Wildlife Refuge (A. M. Gammell).
July 9, 1961--One banded in Burke County, a few miles west of Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge (A. M. Gammell).
June 14, 1963--One near the Burning Coal Vein in Slope County (Grant 1963c).
