Breeding Range. Accidental breeding species. The only definite breeding record was reported by Youngworth (1944a). He observed a family of this species during July 1939 near Mandan in Morton County. Observations of single adults were recorded along the James River in Stutsman County in May 1962 (RES) and in May 1968 and May 1969 (L. C. Haynes).
