Choristoneura occidentalis [Torticidae]
Usually yellow to yellowish green; subdorsally and laterally distinct paired white spots; tan head; black prothoracic shield. This species is a pest of coniferous forests in the western United States. It is very common on Douglas-fir, grand fir, and Pacific silver fir, during May and June.
