Cosmia calami [Noctuidae]

Green with extensive faint white markings; single white middorsal stripe; pale green head. This species is common and only feeds on white oak during June and July. It is similar in appearance to Lithophane amanda and Orthosia hibisci. These three species differ in the appearance of the dorsal, subdorsal, and spiracular longitudinal lines as well as the white granulations on the body.
