Pyrrharctia isabella [Arctiidae]

Dense cover of hairs over body, midabdominal segments with reddish orange hairs, anterior and posterior segments with black hairs. This species is very common on grasses and herbs, such as nettles, during fall and spring. The caterpillar overwinters.
